Being Human

We as human beings make up stories. And we really tend to believe in some of these stories we tell ourselves. Stories about who we are, how we value ourselves, about our place in this world.

We believe in some of them so much we store them into our bodies. We might not even be aware of these stories.

The dance helps us to unlock stories. We can dig them up from our unconsciousness, listen to them, give them shapes and forms. By giving them expression we can find some space around them, we can give it some air. So the story can loose some of its weight. By finding different perspectives we can even rewrite stories.

Stories are very helpful, they help us to describe complex events, they helps us to connect and to be playful and creative. In many traditions people have also tried to find words for that what can’t be explained. To describe the place beyond words where we be with life in us and around us. Words can guide us the way in our dance.
