Dancing with the dead and celebrating life.
It is in our bodies that we live. It’s through dance we practice living fully, giving movement and breath to every experience. It’s through dance we learn to be flexible with change as the future is uncertain. The only thing certain is the fact that we’ll die.
If we live longer then our loved ones, we will have to learn how to live and dance without them. This loss can take the color out of our eyes, life-force out of our body. It can capture our heart.
This time of year when the nights get longer so quickly, people say the veil to the other world gets thinner.
In this workshop we will make our space beautiful with colorful flowers/artifacts/etc and we will invite our beloved ones who have died to dance with us once more.In this holy space our hearts may unravel its emotions of dancing with the dead.
Moving fear of emptiness, shaping fire in forgiveness, bringing dignity to our grieve, strengthening lifeforce in unity, allowing color in living.
Also if you haven’t lost anyone you are welcome to enjoy this celebration of life.
